I was a little skeptical of online shopping when I bought these speakers. I was so nervous about identity theft and credit card theft and everything that I had heard about online (which sounds awful since I was only 19 when I bought them). But needless to say, I got a $50 Visa gift card and decided to try my luck with an Amazon.com purchase. I was so impressed with the speed of shipment and the quality of speakers. When I bought these speakers brand new 5 years ago, they cost me $34.00. I truly understand why they are priced at $230.00 now!! They are small, easy to use and install, and they include the awesome subwoofer. I bought these speakers to rock an entire single family home while I was at college, and they definitely got the job done. I would recommend these to anybody that wants a lot of sound for any space. I'm just sorry the price has gone up, I know that will sadly be a huge deterrent.

Paid $40 for these a couple of years ago - ended up buying 2 sets and wish I'd bought more. These sound better than speakers costing $150. Its a shame they don't make them anymore. If you find a set for under $50 - buy them!

I have owned these speakers for a few years. I purchased a second pair within a few months & 2 members of my family have purchased the same speakers. All speakers are still operational and produce the same quality as the day they were purchased. I currently use the second set of speakers with a high def TV & am happy with the sound.
